Polymeric Sand FAQs

What is polymeric sand?

A specially formulated jointing sand that hardens when activated with water. Swept into the joints between pavers, it binds them together, resists erosion and creates a stable, finished surface.

Does polymeric sand really stop weeds?

Yes. Once set, the hardened sand fills the joints and blocks the gaps where weeds and moss take root, dramatically reducing growth between your pavers.

Do you power wash before laying new sand?

Always. We clear out old sand and weeds, power wash the pavers, let them dry, then sweep in and activate fresh polymeric sand. No shortcuts.

How long does polymeric sand last?

Properly installed, polymeric sand lasts for years. Pairing it with surface sealing extends the life of both and keeps your hardscape tight and clean even longer.

Can you replace failing or washed-out joint sand?

Definitely. If your existing joints are eroding, weedy or sunken, we dig out the old material, clean the joints and re-sand with new polymeric sand for a like-new result.
